Hi I’ve recently come in possession of a 1979 motron I’m not sure of the exact model. I’m looking for the correct spark plug or a recommended spark plug. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

B6HS, do some research next time before ya post.
Thanks Tom must have not searched deep enough as I found many different answers.
Champion L9G, which you could never get because the "G" stood for "Gold", so Champion L88a, followed by Champion L86, ... And finally, NGK B6HS.
So, I went to get some and they sold me plugs with resistors. Now what do we do?
NGK plugs will have an "R" for resistor. When you ask for the plug use the stock number( #7534 for B6HS), otherwise some auto parts stores have trouble finding them.
I’ve always used Champion L86C plugs since I started riding in 1977. I bought a case of them off eBay many years ago. I rarely change them.

Trent, the R plugs have been working fine for me, just make sure you don't use resistor boots (or some call them caps?) on your spark plug wires

You could always modify the resistor plugs to be non resistor plugs .
