Posts are editable for only a short period of time after posting. That's not because the website is "antiquated," it's an intentional design decision. I've built certain structures into this website for a reason. Social media is built around letting people shitpost and delete it later, this website is built around sharing and archiving knowledge that will remain online forever.

It's generally a good idea when posting for the first time in an online community to hang around a bit beforehand, get to know what's up before you come out swinging. If would have been pretty easy for you to see recent activity online from Cream City Cranks members — their profile pages link to their recent forum posts. That would have given you a sense of if they were still around. You could also have emailed, or sent them a Personal Message.

There's a lot of things you didn't approach so well in this post. Instead, try hanging out a bit, getting to know folks here or attending an event. I love Madison, so I'm psyched to hear that there is some moped activity happening there.

Ugh beat me to it!

Yeah I wasn't saying MA is irrelevant... MA is forever. Facebook is busted, all my homies hate Facebook.

Seriously, you could have just posted on here 'i live in Milwaukee. I want to hang.' and someone would have hit you up.

Our ancestral breeding ground, sidewalk beer drinking, dirtbag coffee shop closed so I dunno if there is an official hang out spot.

The feeling is mutual, generation blame is far to toxic for adults to deal with.

Re:

All good points.

THANK YOU for the adult, respectful and well put reply.

I took the initial attempts to email/message no response, broken facebook link as a wash far to soon and made a bad and insulting assumption.

The toxic generation blame antics and BS artistry of some of the CCCs who have chimed in , indicate the effort was a waste from the get-go and any insult I had originally generated was well earned.

I actually like how this system operates and can appreciate it.

Re: really?

Hold on one moment, Graham's absolute contradiction to everything you just stated was covering you in so much BS that It required unpacking and still I cant hear your infantile curses and insinuations as anything other than noise.

Since when did anyone ask or expect anything from you?

How does one even arrive at that narrative?

Why am I even asking?

I’m pretty sure everyone’s first MA post is a total shit show. Isn’t it kind of a right of passage?

For the love of God, use the quote button and not the reply button. And use flat view if you're not already. Nobody knows who you're responding to

I remember my first, but couldn’t find it. I wanted to drill holes in a stock puch baffle to go faster 🤦🏻.

I got trolled and told to drill “speed holes” all over my moped to lessen the weight and go faster. Something like that.

It’s good to be sorted out quick. Better than let someone say ignorant stuff all over the forum and bury good threads.

I like a little drama sometimes too. It’s like the MA version of the “people of wal-mart”.

I remember back in 2001 there was a thread based HTML forum on a Madison raver group I posted on and I was kind of salty about candy ravers on it.

I got flamed for WEEKS over it . It was a VERY bad first post.

This time around, its actually not that bad.

I didn't think generation blame was still a thing or that hating on MA's forum system would somehow get tossed into the opening salvo. The cranks having so many mental issues of their own softened the blow significantly.

They got so "cranked" on it, they even made up their own forum post about it.

Can we make this or the other tread the spark that ignites the next American Civil War. Pleaaase

What's a candy raver

Re: Chapter Update, The Cream City Cranks are no more, a new hope..

I don’t know what “generation blame” means in this context and why you keep bringing it up. Are you assuming that many of the people here are a different age group than you? That probably not the case. If you were going to raves in 2001 then we’re probably around the same age.

It seems like a lot of what you’re posting is with the goal of setting yourself apart from others, rather than seeking common ground. There’s a lot of commonality to be found in this community, since we’re all interested in weird little mopeds that most of society has forgotten about. There’s also a lot of difference, and that’s okay too. But we try to focus on our common interest of mopeds.

Earlier and since repeated use of generation blame in the flame comments from CCC and the other trolls. One of them called the MA forum system dumb and attributed it to "boomers" (generation blame).

I noted that it is a "losers argument" to blame one or any generation of humans for anything when humans are collectively progressive in their denial, failure or involvement civilization.

It has become a self propelling trigger for them.

The most hateful people LOVE that there may be an excuse in blaming others for things.

"The forum is to slow (granted, I touched on that one too), I wasn't recognized properly, I don't have the job i want, you aren't justifying my hate in a way that satisfies it, I prefer all of this to happen on facebook"

Same tired trolling.

I assumed they weren't around because no one answered messages and the facebook page was gone.

I definitely regret the assumption. It was never meant to offend.

Do you honestly think for one split second, after reading all they posted to this point, that an apology to them would mean or result in anything at all OTHER than more trolling and childish bigotry from them?
