Out on the key today

That is beautiful

Please tell me it does 40 mph!

Re: Jawa Florida

It will creep to 40 on a good day. Mostly cruises 35+. Hobbit Jamarcol exhaust on the stock header is the limiting factor, I believe. I just relined the second gear clutch. I like these two speeds.

I did manage to break the speedometer needle.

50 km is 31m

Re: Jawa Florida

It only has one stop, at around 2 MPH. It spun past this and regularly bobs around the km/h marking. Usually around the k. GPS clocked 39 MPH today.

Ken, I must be losing my edge. I just realized this was sarcasm.

Re: Jawa Florida

It wasn’t sarcasm those bikes are cool,

Top tank bikes need to go at least 40mph because motorists following you don’t know they're a Moped, They think you’re driving your motorcycle too slow and will have road rage/get irritated, ride your ass and pass you dangerously

Re: Jawa Florida

Thanks for the clarification Ken. A very small handful of people have any interest in Jawa here. A smaller group have one running that can go at least 35. Jawa speedos lie like the rest. Mine too. It regularly hits 68 kph which is over 42 mph. The reality is only, 37-38 mph sustained on level ground.

The beach road here is posted at a 30 mph limit and other areas are only 25, I'm good. Speed isn't everything but takeoff is much better since I converted this to a two speed.

MORE JAWA!

Did you just swap motors or actually turn a 210 1 speed into a 2 speed? I'd be interested in doing that to my 210 if you just modified the motor

Re: Jawa Florida

Nick, I'm sure that can be done but not cost effectively unless you're marrying the internals from a damaged two speed into a single speed.

I found a two speed missing the some of the accelerating clutch bits at a good price. The case is the same I believe except for the oil fill and drain plugs. I don't think even The Jawa Shop has ALL the bits needed. If they did the cost new would be prohibitive. Just find used.

I'll post my clutch relinIng and 2nd gear oil leak stop how to, soon.
