SF Eastbay ride Sunday March 7

Totally normal JBOT /

Come rip the hills and valleys of the beautiful east bay, might be fun, might be awful. Is there even a difference anymore? Not really.

Social distance and mask wearing required. Hills will be tall and the valleys wide. Bring some gas and some tools.

Chase truck? Idk. Anyone wanna drive chase?

Haven’t done one of these in awhile. I could use some hang time with my moped frienemies.

Route TBA. Meetup TBA.

Maybe thinking of doing “Mopeds vs Devil Mountain 3, in 3D”. Or we could just putter around normal crazy east bay scenery.

Man I want to get in on this. Tomos should be ok for the hills right? Definitely not gonna do my e50.

This is actually the weekend just before my b-day too.

having a baby is no excuse to not come,

Unless the baby is sucking your teets, you could come don’t use a baby as an excuse lame

Ok no mountain, I’m not feeling like doing a big production. So the ride will be east-er bay based not western eastern bay based ok

Ok meetup is setup!

We’re meeting at the end of University way past sea breeze towards the ocean, on Seawall drive near Berkeley marina.

You can park in 3 diff places!

1. Park on seawall there and there’s plenty of parking (least secure of the 3 options but probably fine if you don’t leave valuables in car)

2. park at the south cove east lot as you’re heading there (left off university and more secure, public and open til 11)

3. or park somewhere in Albany (most secure) then ride your moped to the meetup.

Meeting at 11 leave at noon sharp as we’re gonna put some miles in. Heading down to the redwood loop to Castro valley then back up on skyline. It’s such a great loop there and back.

As of now there’s no chase, but you could do it if you want. Otherwise bring some tools and gas.

I will say that the east bay has felt very dry the last 2 weeks with very low humidity which makes ya run lean. So much static electricity! So consider that if your bike is tuned on the edge.

Saturday now says possible rain so maybe Sunday will too, Ride will be cancelled if probable all day rain cuz I don’t want to be out in it.

Ok? Ok. Good.

Re: SF Eastbay ride Sunday March 7

I got gas money of someone wants to help me get my bike out here from Sacramento. And I can also drive my car and bring some folks out. Just not a lot of room for hauling a bike.

It’s going to be a bit chilly in the woods if you’re not dressed for it, so bundle up and be comfortable. I’ll be bringing my tube scarf or whatever for a comfy day of riding thru the endorian forest WHOAAA look out for that Ewok

Haha but seriously folks .

Totally making out for this. See you all on sunday!

Glad you can come. It looks like good weather, I’m super psyched to ride the twisties. I’m kinda outta practice so I won’t be going too hard.

Roads might be a lil slick in some places in the wilderness due to tonight’s rain, it tends to stay wet for longer in the hills

Re: SF Eastbay ride Sunday March 7

Nice. I got a stocker to bring. I'm also gonna bring the gopro for some sweet video of the ride.

Thanks again for hosting!

Reminder: dress warm if you wanna be comfy.

It’s hot in the sun but Endor gets cold when you’re deep in the woods....., that’s why Ewoks are so furry in case you didn’t know
