Hobbit cdi

wanting to go to a solid state ignition with out breaking the bank. Trying to figgure out what flywheels and stators from other bikes will fit a hobbit.

Re: Hobbit cdi

Why don't you just buy a hobbit cdi?

You can convert stock points hobbit to cdi easily with a lil welding but you won’t do it

Re: Hobbit cdi

Any puch flywheel will fit a hobbit crank. The key way probably doesn’t line up right but you don’t really need it. For a puch stator to work you need an adapter plate. I believe I have a few in my shed if you’re interested.

I’ll be damned I didn’t know that! Cool

Re: Hobbit cdi

The flywheels are a bit larger diameter than the hobbit ones, so you might need to trim the ignition side of the cases down with a belt sander so the flywheel does not rub on the case.
