yes but you have to make sure the part you paint are very clean
also depending on what part your going to paint
Are the platic parts painted now or is the plastic dyed so that the color goes all the way through. If they are painted it is easier. Just like painting metal parts basically if it is dyed you will need to use an adhesive promoter and possibly a flex agent to prevent the paint from pealing if flexed or dented. Of course this will mean that the painting will have to be done with an automotive type spray gun rather than a "rattle can".
Or if it is dyed and not painted you can use "Rattle can" vinal dye. Though it wont give you much gloss it will cover well and not peel.

Sure. . . take OUT the plastics (dont do it on the bike) . . sand them down using automotive quality sand paper. (if using Krylon, or spray paint) .. . spray some primer, then several light coats of the color you want. let it dry completely. now use clear-coat. Enjoy.

someone correct me if my process is wrong.
That's how I'd do it.

oh . . and I would suggest using an airbrush if you have access to one. It will come out better.

Hey,
Do you know of any methods to make a yamaha razz go faster. Sry its been like 3 mounths since ive looked at moped army .com and i like ur paint method. Have you tried it yet. If so plz tell what the results are like.
Thanks for your time

My plastic is still black, I haven't done the blue body paint yet, but I did paint the rims white. I'm still trying to talk to the guy about painting the plastic (he wants money) anyways.....how to make your yamaha razz faster is to....... take out the restrictor on the airbox (where the air enters in the front... it has two screws...it's like a little tube that screws into the front).....The other restictor is in the exaust port. It is restricted by some grey crap..... you take the muffler off first, then drill the exaust port so it is round (more open)....What I did was I took the muffler off, then I made sure the piston was blockng the port (so the piston was at the top) then I put a crumpled up, small paper towel, on the side of the piston, in the port, so I don't harm the piston at all. I drilled away. But I got all the shavings and dirt, etc. out of the port when I was done. Then I took out the crumpled up paper towel, put the muffler back on, and it was faster. After you take the restrictors out, you might have to re-tune your carburatur. Taller/bigger tires will add top speed, if the tires will fit correctly. You can try to take some weight off the scooter, also. I haven't tried this yet, but maybe you could open up the reed valve a little bit, some people say it is better, but others say, it's pointless to do it. It's up to you.
