I am new into the moped world and I have recently got a 50cc kit for my 78 maxi sport. It came with this carb and I don’t know how to mount it! It appears like everything is facing the wrong way on it. I hope someone can help me on this. Thanks!
What do you mean by everything is facing the wrong way? Post pictures if you're not good with words
I think what you mean is that for your carburetor, the choke lever is jammed in against the frame, as is the idle screw. Right? That’s a Dellorto SHA (probably a Chinese clone) and while they can be awesome, you have to use the right intake to make it fit a Maxi—you have an intake fir a Bing carb. Maybe consider getting a Bing instead (clone, if you’re on a tight budget), jet it correctly, get it ripping. A 15mm Bing can be decent if you jet it right and you have a few options for an air filter/box. What’s your exhaust? Stock? Do you know what intake port you have on your cylinder—round or square? All are factors for getting that stock E50 tunable. Make sure to study Fred’s Guide (HARD!) on the wiki, see how things go and come back with an update
What I mean is that where the fuel exit is on the bing is on the other side of this carb. And so on. I got it from a treatland kit and it said that it would work. It is a square intake port

So put a little bit longer fuel line on it, tilt the carb a teeny tiny bit on the intake so the choke will work, and bam you're good
Yup. We have all had the same tight fitting intake and sha on a maxi. It is a squeeze. The issue you may be running into is how the banjo "fuel inlet" comes out at a weird angle on the new sha carbs. Just loosen the screw and rotate the banjo to a direction that allows everything to fit. If you want a more flat profile banjo, I might have one on a parts carb I can sell ya.
Its mopeds, you gotta make things work.
