Vintage Advertisements

Where's the best place to buy vintage ads?

The old ads on-line are nice, but don't print well for me.

Re: Vintage Advertisements

There's a high end vintage store near me that has stacks and stacks of vintage ads cut out of magazines and the likes, I've gotten all kinds of moped ads from them. Maybe you can find something similar by you? http://flowerchildvintage.com/

Re: Vintage Advertisements

Nick,

That's a good idea, in fact, a moped store near me in Altson, MA, sent me a pm that they've got a bunch of magazines. I'll start browsing through their stuff once I get a vaccine and Covid abates.

Re: Vintage Advertisements

I've been thinking of reprinting some as posters. Max 20in wide tho. Printer is set up for direct to fabric transfer with dtg ink but I could always swap back to photo pigments.....

Re: Vintage Advertisements

My favorite poster in my collection of mopedmobilia. It may be the only one out there. Most of my collection came from eBay and former moped dealer buy outs.

There is one of these bikes on Craig's list not too far from me. Just a little too high priced for me to snag.

Re: Vintage Advertisements

I’ve had my blue Snark for close to 25 years now. Great bikes.

Re: Vintage Advertisements

M Lar, you have a strange taste in ads. Especially that first ad.

One of my favorites is Treatland's "shirtless freebird!"

Re: Vintage Advertisements

I just printed off a picture from the 77' Moped's porno to use as advertisement

Re: Vintage Advertisements

Haha I forgot about that. I loved the awkward dudes just standing around.

Yeah I’m the one with a cup of coffee

Re: Vintage Advertisements

Here’s a Cimatti one I found online that I touched up a bit. Resolution is decent. I’ll probably get this printed on a small canvas.
