Whats the proper squish clearance for a Polini 65cc (Puch Maxi)?
I think it's the same for everything, 1mm - .8mm
A polini kit was developed to use a stock maxi (high torque) head
All you Gotta do is use one of those, though I sand or mill down the two compression rings on the Hi torque maxi head so it’s flat for a bit more compression if you use the stock gasket that comes with the kit though it’s very feeble you’ll get close to the squish you need
I would 100% get this head. Machined correctly. I have always had issues with decking stock heads. It is probably just that I am not good at it but I would pay not to have to spend time sanding. Pluss it is fresh out of the box.

You don’t have to deck nothing just put the stock head on, I go that little extra length because I want a bit more compression for a bit more low end but otherwise you don’t have to do anything
