I found a number on the back of the pull to the crank

Here is a picture of the vin number off my 63 Moby. It is on the right side and you can see it through the pedal crank chain wheel. Sorry about the quality of the picture had to hold a flashlight in one hand and take a picture with the other.

On the single speed large body Mobys it is on the rear engine support on the right hand side
On the variated large body Mobys it is on the lower part of the seat post support on the right hand side
On the single speed and variated small body Mobys it is on the left rear wheel drop out
