Parts

Good evening everyone,

Hope all are well. I’m new to mopeds and even newer to working on them. I have some minor repairs to tackle on 2 tomos mopeds. I’m not really sure where the best place to buy parts. I’ve heard treatland I believe it’s called. They didn’t have everything I needed but figured I’d get what I could. My cart totaled about $65. Nothing I ordered was heavy by any means. They standard shipping came to over $15. Is this normal with this site? If anyone knows of a better place I could use all the help I can get. Thanks in advance!

Re: Parts

Oof

Re: Parts

There’s only one place better than Treatland, and Eddie Van Halen lives there now. If you can’t hit the $100 free shipping threshold with two bikes then you’re not doing it right.

If treatland doesn't have what you need you're probably not looking up the right stuff. Try doscycles.com or mopeddivision.com but treats has the best selection

Oh didn’t realize the $100 free shipping. I’ll just buy more stuff. Thanks for the info again I’m super new. Much appreciated!

Re: Parts

And yeah 15 is about average for shipping. Sometimes less, rarely more. They are pretty good about getting last minute forgotten items thrown into your box if you email/call them right away.

Post up a thread in the buy/sell for anything you cant find, someone might have it.

Re: Parts

Shipping is pretty much fucked these days, can't ship much for 15$.

Pro tip: get tires until you get free shipping, you will always need them and they are expensive to ship

Re: Parts

Hit the magic 100$ with tires, tubes and rim tape. Like Graham Motzing suggests, the tires are usually $$$, but you also want to get tubes and rim tape to replace the vintage stuff. Keep the old tubes as emergency spares.
