Anybody got one they recommend? Tons of different options on wamazon. Plastic vs metal? Do I need that silicone strap that stretches over the corner?

"Mount" your phone in your pocket, use your eyes and brain for navigation. There is more than enough to pay attention to while riding, should not be being distracted by your phone. :/

Oh I won't be distracted, just trying to play Pokemon Go while while live streaming it. It'll also be handy so I can text and drive easier, maybe some candy crush action as well, but only at stoplights /s

I wanted to do this for my kids no-ped so he could have a speedometer app.
His phone battery swelled his phone in half before we go it done 😕

You don't need a speedo on a moped, nor do you need your phone on while riding.

haha, I played go a bunch when it came out and my wife was pregnant, it was a fun excuse to walk around outside and you learn a lot about the local neighborhood history etc.
I have a cheap Velcro phone holder, I think it cost $3. I would swap it to my moped or bicycle, whichever I was riding that day, and there were a few stops i'd pull over, toss a ball or load up from a stop, then cruise on. definitely not watching it while riding tho. but I could just stop, swipe, go.
the ram ones look sweet. I've been good nuf with mine tho

Ram mount is great. I have been using mine for 2.5 years. The rubbery corner strap thing snapped apart pretty quick but it works just fine without it.

RAM mounts are the way to go. If you are interest I an throw you mine to check out. I have a suction cup mount for the Jeep, I fix mounted a ball in the Choppy, and I have a clamp mount for moto/mopeds floating around somewhere. I just swap the and and holder between everything. I will definitively say it was worth the money.

I use RAM mounts on all of my bikes as well. Great for around town but also did a couple 250 mile rides with no issues.

Just fabricate your own so it fits the bike and the phone well

Have this one as I dont like riding with anything in my pockets. You can be injured by something poking or cutting you in a fall.
Although I havent really used it much, had planned on doing some time lapse videos while out on a cruise but the bike vibrates so much it's just a blur lol.
Usually throw the phone in my backpack, this will be coming off the bars now that it's not gonna work like I wanted it to.
