So, I'm thinking of doing this simply by running a Streetmate or GY150 4 wire regulator. This would allow me to run a large capacitor as a pseudo battery smoothing out the horn and light blink at idle. More to follow..........

Here is the diagram from Myrons. There is no common ground for the lighting/horn. So there shouldn't be any issue with shorting the ignition. Even if there were, the lighting coils are isolated.
