Made a couple more efforts to reach out to H&H, not happening.
I reached out to the ONE other person in town who responded, but said they didn't have a sandblaster. I asked if I sandblasted the parts and brought them in fully prepped if he could handle it. He said he is "totally swamped." Great fortune for him in a recession!
I give up. It's going to to a guy out of town in Harrodsburg near where we have some family. It'll take a month or so with his schedule and mine but I'll at least be able to get some forward progress. Really demoralizing having to pause this long.
Shame, we have a pottery kiln I'm certain could do powdercoating, but it's simply not big enough for the frame.
This whole thing has made me look into what it would take to get started in the business. The fact that I couldn't find a single place in a city of 2 million to do a quick job at full retail price is a wake up.
I'll update the thread in a month or so once I get the parts back.
