Ok, knuckle head me forgot to take pics of disassembly of the steering tube head. But I believe the bearings go first. Then steering tube head.then upper track spanner,then washer ,then nut . How far off am I?? The bottom half went well,btw. (edited)

I got the parts book. I forgot to take pics of disassembly. So I put the bearings in the head . Then upper bearing track followed with washer , then the steering section nut . Then I just set the handlebar bridge to make sure nothing hit. Just trying to correctly cross Ts & dot I s , before tube installation. Also gonna order a shiny new nut PD. (edited)
See about finding a cap nut to replace that junkyard looking nut . ;)
Seriously , I'd just wire brush the nut you have and clear coat it or better , zinc coat it .
It's all chewed up. Someone didn't know how to use a wrench. Unbelievable but it still had the DiMaggio badge in it. Order one from Treats.
