I assume my crank seal isn't supposed to.. Leak? Lol

Was flushing my fa50s crank/crank case with gas after I noticed some junk was In there (didn't run it like that, thankfully. Just bought it, its been sitting for awhile with no carb installed)

After multiple fills, I noticed gas was leaking out of the stater cover. Took the cover off, and yeah, it appears to be getting through the seal.

Im almost positive it's just a bad seal but I figured I'd confirm because it doesn't seem like even a "bad" seal would just let gas through with no pressure.

Thoughts?

Yes,replace the seals.

Yeah it would have to be pretty shrunken and rotted to let gas seep through without pressure, but that's not totally uncommon on rubber parts of that age. You could do a full leakdown test to confirm, but honestly this is probably enough of a sign that the bike needs a crank case rebuild and all rubber sealing parts should be suspect.
