77 puch Newport

Picked up a 1977 puch Newport today and am having a hard time finding parts and info. Almost complete, missing seat, chain covers, and all wires are cut for some reason. Where’s the best place to find parts and info so I can start fixing her up? Got a long way to go, trying to keep original and want to get started

Re: 77 puch Newport

Look at the Wiki shop link. most parts you need are in there.

Re: 77 puch Newport

I'm not sure if you'll find much for that. They are very rare bikes and parts are thin on the ground, literally nothing available. I don't even think there are online parts suppliers either. You have got a moped equivelent of unicorn jizz.

He's fucking with you you've got the most common moped in America

Re: 77 puch Newport

A good place for used parts is Sunday morning motors. They have all the odd and other parts you'll need.

That rear rack is unique, cool bike!

Re: 77 puch Newport

Thanks for the replies, found some parts I need. Mine says Newport, but most parts I find are maxi. Will those parts work as for the Newport model ?

Actually, that's the Mobylette, but pretty close.

this guy is awesome. it'll take awhile but everything he sends is dead nuts perfect. you must send detailed pictures of what you need and he only communicates thru email. http://myronsmopeds.com/category/parts/all-others/

Treatland for fast and cheap. Just look for e50 engine puch stuff. The bars and headlight look awesome. Maybe you can find an old Brooks leather seat to match.

Re: 77 puch Newport

Glad someone local picked that thing up!
