The Colorado Moped Scene?

Benjamin The Wandering Pacer /

Greetings to the fine people of Colorado! The wife and I are heading to Colorado in July for vacation and was wondering what the moped scene was like. I will be bringing a bike because why not a Pacer in the mountains. Also any suggestions on must visit places would be welcomed. :D Thanks in advance.

Re: The Colorado Moped Scene?

what kinda vee-hickle are ya driving out there?

i always like to see how people travel with their bikes for ideas

Re: The Colorado Moped Scene?

I lived in Denver for a few months after high school and spent the month leading up to the Pike's Peak Hill Climb in Manitou Springs every year for the past 4 years. I brought an italjet KitKat and had a blast in the mountains. I never met anyone else with a moped while I was there but I do know of a dude in Manitou with peds.

I have a Kia Forte Hatchback. I usually just attach a (custom) bike hauler to the trailer hitch. I do have small trailer I was looking to build into a bike hauler. Not sure which way I am going yet.

Im in the metro area and been rippin everywhere I go... havent seen as many mopeds this year but plenty scooters.. id suggest just following a river or doing a route through downtown maybe check out the big blue bear at the art museum? Anyway...an advanced welcome to Colorado (denver specifically!)

Re: The Colorado Moped Scene?

There used to be a club in Denver, I can't remember what they were called tho

Re: The Colorado Moped Scene?

I heard there are weekly rides on Wednesday’s in Denver, also heard there are tons of good rides around the state. Try hitting up someone from the people in that club Mike mentioned if you figure out who there are.

I believe I may have heard of them once but have not really heard a lot. They must be on the more secret side. I knew there used to be a Moto Ocho and I have seen some mention of possible others but its so here and there I wasn't sure.

My main destination is Keystone but will be passing through Denver. Any specific places to watch out for Mopeders?

Re: The Colorado Moped Scene?

What dates will you be out here? What are you doing out at keystone?

Should be out that way the 8th through the 14thish. It will be my one year wedding anniversary so the wife and I are getting out of town. We found a nice place to rent on a lake but we plan to get out and explore CO also. :D

Re: The Colorado Moped Scene?

We have been riding on Wednesdays in the city. And some of the local riders want to ride up Lookout Mountain soon but no plans set for it yet. If you know what afternoon that you want to try to ride I’m usually out of work by 3:30/4 and I’ll start letting the group chat know of Potential ride date.

Shoot me a DM

Re: The Colorado Moped Scene?

Do you guys take the Lariat Loop down to Golden ?

I'd imagine a few brake pads get replaced . ;)

Re: The Colorado Moped Scene?

Lariat Loop=Lookout

Pretty much . Lookout Mtn Rd turns into Lariat Loop ...

Use to run that on almost a weekly basis .

There use to be a restaurant called 'The Robin's Nest' on Lookout Mtn Rd .

Had some good meals there and made a couple memories . ;)

Thanks! I'll see if I can nail down our trip a bit more to see what availability will be like. With this being our one year anniversary, I will need to see what I can get away with. :D

Is it weird that most of the moped people I follow on social media are from the blk blks? Or is it that they are just some of the most fun mopeders?

It's just that as an organization they've systematically sought out and absorbed the most fun mopeders they could find
