A month ago I came home with her and every day since, I fall deeper in love with this Maxi.
That purple is dope!
The root beer color does fade out very well.
@ Todd, i believe its referred to as Eggplant, i thought it was root beer to.
Yeah I have had a couple of those eggplant rootbeer maxi's. I have had one with perfect paint which is super pretty and one with a nice sun fade happening. Such a great look on it.

Def the best color, but not my fav. I’m color blind & it looks black to me. I can’t really see red much at all. My fav color is Green Apple. I’d love a Green Apple Maxi Sport MKIi. Here’s my Burgundy Maki-Luxe II.

Sorry to hear that. Not seeing color would be a drag.
I can see green! Prob why it’s my favorite. Just red tones are my downfall.
These are all dope, especially the white one, so fresh!

Yeah that's being sold by Micah, dudes a scammer asshole. He wants $1200 for it and I know he didn't pay more than $300 for it and has done absolutely no work to it

HA! Paid $20 for my white Maxi frame and the tank is as clean as the day it was manufactured. Flippers can go screw themselves.

im quite aware of all the hate thats generated about this person. in no way was i endorsing this persons bike. it was a response to schmiddy saying white were hard to find. i now of three for sale now, found during my daily searches for mopeds. sure they are scattered all over the states, and not surprising, way over priced. their out there.
@schmiddy ive got maxi frames for days at 20 bucks a pop. nice freshie build ya got going on there.
‘77 Apple Green my fav puch color.
Anyone who says TCCD kits are lame doesn’t know how to tune it, plain and simple.
-ported/case matched 70cc tccd with matching low comp head.
-super stuffy crank/rebuilt bottom end
-15mm bing
-tuned 2 shoe clutch (bleu springy with rotella in the trans)
- 17x42 gearing gets you to 50mph
-Tecno boss to prove they’re not as bad as what the haters say when used with high rpm grabbing clutch/ fluid especially for the monies.
-uni filter hidden under stock side covers. (no the covers don’t have any effect on jetting in my own experience)
-sealed bearing/12mm axle rear conversion.
-Zundapp mid rise bars w/green ebr triple tree.
-honestly don’t remember where I set the timing. i’ll check next time i’m in there. It can go up mighty mountains full throttle after a ten mile ride and temps never get past 365F Stock ignition fresh points/condenser.
It’s true that you can buy a 60 dollar kit (was on sale) and go 50. I will say the top end ring rattle is pretty noisey at idle, but i’ve put at least 500 miles on it since with no problems, others have mentioned the same thing.
Those are some NICE bikes everyone! woohoo
Dang i’ve got no shots with the stem bar conversion. i’ll take some later
I was lucky enough to score a bee-utiful Eggplant '78 Maxi Luxe for $100 in Fort Worth 3 years ago. Some wanker rattle canned it. I was going to try to get it off of the original paint, and tried polishing compound this morning. It didn't take off the rattle can stuff but it did put a shine on it and I think I'll leave well enough alone for now. Mine is in the pictures section, about 3rd from the top with my gray farm cat Eliot Ness in the picture. What a pretty little bike. I didn't know anything- still don't but if ever there was a case of love at first sight- this was it. Mein kleinas motorrad !! Thanks for the thread about the Eggplant Puchs. And YES !!!! That purple paint job and pedals are gorgeous !!! What a tasteful - nay -
MESMERIZING color you put on it. Mesmerizing I tell you. Don't you need the purple chain I saw someplace ????????
