A35 with 1st gear whine which continues lightly into 2nd. Read everything here I can find. Of course the bush is wore out on 1st gear. Clutches worn but usable. All bearings not smooth. I've new clutches in the Treats cart.
1.Does anybody have the number of the cover bearings?
2. The bearing shown which remains in the case I presume cannot be changed without splitting the case? I do have a lathe and could make a tool to pull it if it's possible to get the main drive gear out of the way.
3. Notice I have chipped teeth. Ordering new 1st and 2nd from Treats.
4. Notice the metal wires in the cover. These are too long to be needles. Not sure what they are from and could use your ideas. (I didn't have time to take the starting sprauge apart so I'm suspecting that but it works perfectly.
I noticed he clutch bell was ticking or lightly rubbing the outer most gear. Planning to order a few shims since they are cheap to set this up better on reassembly. Opinions?
1st and second show some wear, the tips of the teeth on either slide of the tip flat are sharp as razors but I'm replacing them anyway. The pinons on the clutch show polish but no serious marks or chips, they must be harder.
