Hi guys and gals, I've got myself another 60s moby moped. Got it running yesterday but when I open the throttle all the way it gets up to speed (rpms) for a few seconds the bogs right back down. Almost stalling right out. Any suggestions?
Clean the carb., Those gurners at finicky.. Looks like 70's. What is that a 7 or a cady?
From what I've researched it's a mid to late 60s because of the older model av7 motor. But I actually used another carb I have to get it going so I know it's not the carb..
That's not an av7. Notice the lack of a magneto on the right side. I think that's a cady with it's proprietary engine.
Its's a Cady(for sure) with an isodyne engine I belive.
Cool bike, I like the European headlight. There may be a tag on the headstock.
Maybe the pipe has too much carbon built up?
That is the M1 Isodyne motor on a Cady M1PRTS, no tag on the steering head so it must be one of the Canadian Tire camp bikes from 1972-73. In 1974 they carried the M3 Super Isodyne powered Cadys.
Carbs are the AR1 serie of Gurtners. It needs to be clean.
Also check the ignition timing.
