Not the best AV42, but it was free. It can still happen if you are nice to people.
That's hard to beat . Win on both counts .
Now you just need lights , a throttle and a chain .
Looks like you have enough tires to last through a couple generations .
And , I can hardly believe that the rig came equipped with a fart hole in the seat . ;) (edited)
Nice Moby!
One of the nicest, most respected guys in the moped hobby. Congrats on the acquisition!
Parts for these aren't easily found. I will likely use old pieces I can find.
Lol... “fart hole”
You stab a long funnel through that to fill the tank.
Seriously. I’m happy for you. The world is a better place.
How nice do I have to be? Like, mow that fresh cut lawn in the pic? Back scratch? Donate a lung or kidney?
I got a free car. But that’s because it had problems and the owner felt sorry for me.

I knew there was another use for that , really . LOL
Well here are the guidelines for seller / owner treatment:
1. Be courteous and on time
2. Listen to the purchase history story and what their plans are, even if they are
3. If the person is an ass, skip to step 8 and leave
4. Don't be a critique (this is difficult when high prices are mentioned)
5. Do not brag
6. Offer to help with info or repairs
7. Only make any offer if they insist
8. Thank the person for taking the time to show you their stuff
I've found that a person may call you back after making up their own mind because you treated them with some respect. They may also want to see their bike saved.
Nice things happen to nice people

Are you saying 'what goes around , comes around ' ?
That's amazing . ;)
Congrats,Rob! Fine-looking bike!
Good on you Rob.
They are never free. After its road worthy it wasn't really free but bless you for saving another relic.
Thats awesome. Cool to be a part of a community that pays it forward.
Rob is a great guy who was super helpful on the epic MoPedLar rides in the past.
Yeah the pinnacle of mopedery....
They'll start leaving them at your front door at night ringing the bell and running...
It's funny that you say that, because they have shown up on their own before. Too bad it's typically someone that needs some repairs.
