Cdi ? For a35

i know this seems an out of the ordinary? But what is under the flywheel on the left side of my a35 ? Because it has a cdi? Is that stator points or what?

Re: Cdi ? For a35

Stator coils.

Yeah, it should just be a pair of coils.

Obviously there shouldn't be points, given you have a CDI ignition.

Wound coil hubs 4 of em 3 lights one ignition.

Works on a hall effect sensor mounted on the coil or later in the case as a separate iggy circuit.

Re: Cdi ? For a35

And a35 doesn't use a CDI. It uses a TCI. Different sort of electronic ignition, that's why there's no pickup coil.

Re: Cdi ? For a35

Whats the tci stand for?

Transistor Controlled Ignition.

I learned about such things while trying to sort out the ignition on my Derbi.
