I did some hill climbing on some few moderately steep hill and my a35 spun real bad when it shifted to 2nd it spun. Got home now when not running on the stand if i turn pedal forward slowly you feel quick slip and then the bell catches and slightly klunk sound? Did i finish off the drum bearing an bushing?? Alot of metal dust in fluid after the hill?? Also small real tiny piece of copper looking metal barely visible??
You could just listen to what all the gurus said in one of your other posts and take your ***** engine apart.

From the posts I’ve read you’ve mentioned over and over that you have a ‘mechanic’ that performs the work, sounds like it’s time to make the trip.
Im gonna work on it soon as the parts get here this week. The old fella that helps me with clutch shoes when needed doesent go into deep mechanical heart of mopeds he just knows some basics. The reason i repeated myself was im trying to gain confidence through you guys direction! But ill try not to repeat same things over again . But i was mainly trying to get different opinions.
Hes 90 mile drive. Alright i took off the case on the clutch side. Small shim and larger shim ill keep track of. Can you give me an idea what to do first?
I have the case off just took it off after draining the fluid. So next is? Remember stock a35 so....?
Insert a piston stop or use a strap wrench on the flywheel or use a impact to remove the clutch nut. Pull whole clutch off the crankshaft disassemble clutch inspect it.
I don't have the flywheel cover off. Could i use my belt and loop it tight around the bell and loosen the nut?
I took the fly wheel cover off. Wrapped my good belt around the flywheel and tried to loosen the bell nut and broke my belt. I don't have a way to break the clutch bell nut loose this bites damn
If i use some kind of piston stop im afraid ill smash the wrist pin bearing or damage a crank bearing
Use a tie down . wrap it around the flywheel , hook to itself and the other end to a solid part of the frame . wrench on the nut slowly until the tie down get tight on itself .
Hold it there and then apply power to remove the nut .
As for using a piston stop , I've never in my life even heard of any of the destruction you worry about .
Just stuff a length of rope into the combustion chamber as it approaches TDC .

Hey my fella mopeder! I got the cover off and got the bell off finally. The crankshaft splines is a little worn than id like it too be. And man that bushing not much left of it its grooved and minced not much left. Shoes were good. 50% of cork still there. There was no shim on the crankshaft when i took the bell off. Is that normal?

it sounds like everyone's trying to lead you in the right direction but you have an excuse for everything... They said use a piston stop clearly...then you come up with an excuse that you're afraid you're going to damage something and honestly you're not going to get anywhere fixing that moped with excuses for everything...

The moped is doing you no good sitting there all you have to do is get it off and open that engine and start working on it and keep all the parts in a box separate and there's a thousand people on here that can tell you how to put it back together as long as you have every piece...
Its all good man! Ive had it apart and been working on it and learning. i figured out how to deal with the peanut /hour glass clip. Trans was janky after breaking the clutch nut loose. And i started moving shit around and figured it out. So everyone can chill with the ridicule. i got my ass to work had it apart a few days now and back together and waiting on some parts and gonna pop the cover and gonna get her repairs done to get some more use out of it. Before i have to split cases and do a bearing /seals /crankshaft replacement. So let yall know if i get held up on anything else. Only thing i foresee is my a35 didnt have a clutch shim on the crankshaft so it could have been the start of the problem.
Wanted to say thanks bud. If it wasn't for stern words and Advice i would still be baffled. Ive learned alot in the passed week taring down my a35 and putting it back together twice.
