Not a garelli guy but sometimes if you dont have the power to push the bike to powerband the larger sprocket can hinder your prformance. The larger sprocket can lug the engine down so it cant get rpms up if you understand what I'm saying. Did alot of sprocket tuning with minarelli v1. Made a big difference in the power the bike made. May think gear up and go faster but sometimes u got to gear down to get rpms up.
