I have a '77 Foxi gt with a Sachs 504a. I know the decomp valve leaks so been debating on replacing it or just plugging it.
What are the pro's and con's with both keeping the decomp valve or plugging it correctly?

Pros is you don't have that leaky mess on your motor.
Con, you don't have that "rode hard put away hot" aroma wafting up from the front of your bike.
Your bike will still start easy.
Bolt + ball bearing works great
I've never had trouble starting the bike without the decomp
I tried ball and bearing. Leaky for me.
If you simply lap the valve in properly , it won't leak anything .
