I know the Piston port one will.

It's the intake and exhaust port angles of what you have.

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

i found the tomos 44mm dmp 65cc kit and it is compatible. $100 dos cycles.

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

Slew can you go on dos cycles and look at the dmp tomos 65cc kit and tell me if it will work on my a35 and my exhaust angle will line up?? Thanks

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

Yeah that's the 1 i seen. 65cc is plenty good enough for what i want. Im not looking for a screamer. Just want to have a bit more power for my weight 185lb. Im hoping it will not destroy my a35. I never mistreat my moped i take care and preserve it

The alukit and the Dos kit is basically the same kit. I run both of them. The alukit doesn't come with gaskets and the Dos kit does. (edited)

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

if i decide to kit the bike im gonna go with the 44mm 65cc dos cycles tomos kit. Because i wanna try to do the least harm i can for my high mileage a35 trans. i will definitely get the 1st gear jammer clutch for it as well.

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

jammer clutch might break shit more, i dunno i haven't run one but i could see the higher engagement point causing problems? on the stock clutches when you make them engage too high they break stuff.

dos has reproduction a35 shoes that are basically a heavier duty stock replacement, seem to have some good reviews. or re-line your clutches which is what i do.

Ya it’s also $10 cheaper on treats.. also I run the jammer in 3 of my tomos mopeds and it’s a night and day difference over stock, Won’t even touch the stock 1st gear anymore.

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

Also the alukit on treats dose include the gaskets FYI

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

just run the 44mm tomos alukit off of treats. solid reliable ripper and basically the same as a DMP or ebay "bigbore" or the puch kit. if you set the stall super high on a jammer you may cause issues. I've found that the softest springs are plenty good for a daily. From my research, the stock first gear clutches will explode with extra power+++more importantly when the friction material wears away. They'll hyper extend and the pins will fall out and grenade everything. Knock on wood, I haven't blown one up yet. I enjoy having the jammer from a reliability standpoint. Don't need to check up on your cork every couple months and theres no pins and cheap nasty pot metal shoes to explode and destroy things.

yeah this has been way over-hyped for years, even the stock cork can handle quite a bit of power if its in good shape, definitely enough for a basic kit. if you re-line them with friction material they will hold all but the nastiest (we're talking custom gila, huge pipe, etc) setups. I've heard from a few people that the 'heavy duty' shoes that DOS sells are somewhere in between the cork and the super duty asbestos type material that i buy from Mcmaster Carr, but i haven't bought them yet to check it out.

relining is cheap and easy if you have a belt sander or a good way to get them down to size evenly... been meaning to do a writeup but i haven't done a set in years.

Well I stand corrected. They didn't at one time.

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

Im gonna do the jammer 1st gear clutch and 65cc kit then. I heard i need to grind/dremmel the bolts on the back of the jammer to surface level because if not few folks says it catches on the clutch bell.

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

Hey jackers i see its you that did 3 tomos with jammer clutch right? Im gonna have to do it my stock a35 needs it bad its starting to bumb me out. I love working on it though. I just did the 20 tooth rear wheel /sprocket. And seal nut. New 1412 dellorto. Im looking forward to a kit and clutch upgrade gonna be a good summer.

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

Hi mark! So yes I absolutely love this clutch! One thing I usually do is flatten the 3 bolts on the back side as they protrude just a hair, sometimes they do catch the bell. Also pro tip you do not need to take the bolts out to change the springs! If you do go to a 44mm or 45mm kit you will for sure notice a big difference. I got one in my stock tt with a pipe and it’s soo much better than stock! Bike was almost unridable before I swapped the clutch. 14:12 is on the smaller side but they do pack quite a punch for what they are. 15:15 is ideal but the 14:12 will get you to 50mph just fine with that 20t rear. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions too buddy! Let’s get that tomos rippin!!

Re: Puch dmp 45mm kit question.

Thanks. Sure can do. i heard the jammer comes with weakest of the springs. So im gonna have its installed. Try it out see how it does stock engine and expansion chamber i might like that. But either way im reaching out for advice during add ons because i have to get this right.

Nice! The only one i've ridden was the first gen of hammer that Jake Cain has in the Toby bike and its hard to imagine it being anything but a balls-to-the-wall race clutch.

I might have to grab one myself for an upcoming project.
