Probably not. New mopeds aren’t really a thing anymore. I mean, you might find a new-ish Tomos. Stick with the vintage ones. Be patient, you just started your search on here. There’s mopeds in Quebec. You’ll find one soon, but don’t get in a rush, or you’ll get taken advantage of.
Very few sell whole bikes. But doscycles.com does, with free freight shipping in the USA! Look at the complete bikes section an the site...Not sure about shipping to kanukistan tho if they can I'm sure it'll be more.
Also, they always have more than what's listed on the site. Call or email em.
is it scary to ride one? I dont like fast moving vehciles, in fact i dont even drive cars its been 8 years now .. I was comfortable on my ebike that was 32km/hour max, hows the experience on a moped?
Maybe Detroit Moped Works. They refurbished mopeds top to bottom. Don't know about shipping.

It isn't scary, it's really like a bicycle that pedals itself. The power of a stock bike would be perfect if you are nervous. But of you get a good brand, you can always increase power. And you can tune that power for either more acceleration or top end or both!
They so not wheelie or have motorcycle power stock, basically you turn the throttle all the way from a stop and will slowly accelerate up to 30 or anywhere in-between. Every bike is different, but that's basically the deal.

It was a 1965 bike, with original cables. It was just a test ride when I first got it running, but I blew thru the intersection with both feet dragging. Nobody hit me, thank God.
I now always put new brake cables on every moped I buy. They are cheap.
You should be able to keep your moped in your apartment. Many do. Even upstairs. If you can’t do this, find something solid to chain it to, with a good lock. Also, keep it under a bike cover or bbq cover, to keep eyes off it.
Yeah, cables can snap. Things go wrong sometimes.lol
But most of us that have failures like that are tuning are bikes for FAR higher top speed. Or the cables are old and worn. You really sound like you would appreciate a stock bike.
I'd look for a Puch maxi(sold as bombardier in Canada, but they went over the border all the time), an Italian bike with a minerelli engine(they were sold under many brands. The engine is the important part) or a sachs( also sold as Hercules). All of these are exceedingly reliable, but the first two are much more tunable. A Sachs will run reliably forever almost but tuning them is a chore if you want to go fast...reliability goes right out the window.lol
TONS of company's made mopeds, but very few made the engines really. The engine is the biggest part when choosing a bike, followed by build quality and comfort.

You can chain it up on the street, maybe on the sidewalk (given local laws) or rent/share a garage space?

Check with your landlord first. I rented apartments for years and kept my bike outside on a sheet of plywood with a cover over it and never had a problem.
Only bring it inside if you are 100% certain you have no fuel leaks...I have 4 inside right now waiting for the thaw! Awesome you are on ground floor, I have a flight of stairs to contend with. Be aware these are around 40 yrs old and will require some tinkering at best, lots of messing around with at the worst, I'm slowly getting out of them for scooters and electrics, as I'm getting too old to enjoy working on them, and I don't have to very often, but I don't want to have to think about it.
The ride is fun, if you can ride a bike you can ride a moped, you never have to be afraid of dumping it like a motorcycle, and its just joyous to ride one. I can be having the worst day and hop on and booom, clear mind.
I'm just not getting the feeling a moped is for you. You're nervous about being on the road, you've never ridden a moped, you don't know where to keep it and I'll go out on a limb and assume you might not know how to maintain one. Just a hunch.
I should reduce the number of Minarelli bikes I have.
Get me tickets to one or two Indians / Blue Jay games, meet me in Toronto, and buy a professionally rebuilt Italian bike with new tires, tubes, petcock, chain, cleaned tank.
I'll have a Snark, Blanco, AMF Roadmaster, Aspes frankenbike, and maybe a Motron to chose from.

I'd bet that you're totally wrong on that count .
You can die at 30 MPH just as easily as 60+ .
Just a few bits of loose gravel can turn that carefree smile into an awful lot of ouches and a lot worse .

They postponed the MLB season by 2 weeks and pulled down the most recent schedule. Who knows what the new schedule will be and when they play Toronto? I'd also need to get a passport before going as well.
