And y'all know what? I had a stupid smile on my face, I remembered once again why I love this shit so much. Did you ride today?

Not today ... tomorrow for sure .
And , that smile seems to happen about every time I ride . ;)
Rode yesterday after coming back from a trip up to canadaland and NY, wished I could’ve made it out today but we’re relegated to work remotely due to recent events and I was stuck staring at my bikes in the alley. Hoping to get out tomorrow for a lunch break of sorts though. Glad you got to ride. Keep riding, wrenching, and reminding yourself why you got into these in the first place
I rode today
Bike ran like crap but all I could think is boy is this weather beautiful!

That's the `Bugs in yer teeth' smile.
i rescued a fellow blaster from a bad tinder date tonight. i didn't even know the guy, i just walked into a bar with a bike out front. parked mine next to it. saw the dude and started talking bikes real hard. "mines like this and BWAAAAHHH!! and i got these parts and yada yada yada." this chick was like "uhhh durf!" and left. dude was like "yo you saved me man!" bikes are awesome! whenever anything lame approaches, you just hop on a blast your way into the wide open freedoms!!!
Yea man.
Good for you dude! Rode yesterday and plug chopped, was running too lean, upjetted and rode to work today (5 Miles), then riding to the local motorcycle shop and getting a colder plug, our weather is in the 70s right now.
I got to ride yeaterday since the weather in Cleveland was nice. My bike ran like a champ. I went blasting thru the Metroparks on it
My brother and I went riding on my 150cc and 200cc Vespa scooters. I can’t handle riding my mopeds just yet since I’m only three months out from major back surgery and I can’t tolerate the rougher ride of my mopeds. At least I’m riding again. (edited)

You must have modern Vespas.... for the most part my mopeds are less back breaking than my vintage scooters.
Yes, 2005 LX 150 and a 2006 GT 200.

I rode my girlfriend last night.

I hope she runs better than a moped ;)
Glad ya'll have been out and reminding yourself of why we do this shit. I've been commuting with my DT50 for a few weeks now. Rode my Targa LX to work today and holy FUCK did I forget how small and rough and terrifying it is compared to that DT. I loved it, every single moment of it.

She's faster than any moped. Smooth as silk with great bottom end. Jug's oversized with custom head and no spitting or sputtering. Just hums right along with a stroked crankshaft. She can handle a large load without vibrations or failure. No re gearing or lube necessary. She knows how to leave me tingling with a smile. (edited)
Was 75 today, was nice.
I've gotta a fever of a hundred and three.

I think you're the only that "got it". I'm hot blooded check it and see...gotta a fever of a hundred and three... Should I get corona, you know me. There would more explicit details than a song lyric.
I have no idea what you're talking about, but get that shit out of my thread.
^ of course you don't... lol!

I got it, lol
Man I haven't been able to ride yet but I just got one that I blew up last summer running and I'll have another one running this weekend. Hopefully tomorrow I can find some time to drag all the bikes out of cold storage, put batteries back in them, fresh gas, fire them up and blow out the turds.

We wouldn't expect anything more . :)

I got my crummy ebay carb on the CL70 and all my bogging worries vanished. Got to rip around in 60 degrees weather. Then I drove to Duluth yesterday and slept in a rest area waking up to about 20 degrees this morning. God i miss the north. One day I’ll spend way too much time on getting the keihin functioning proper again. Can’t wait to head back dwn south and tear shit up this spring tho;-)
Make sure to check your valves, they can really make you think the carb is messed up.

Carb actually made a huge difference, definitely the culprit. Plus the port on the intake side is fuckin gaping compared to stock:-) I’m hoping to get in a lotta riding with not so much going on lately, less idiots on the road driving those car things around trying to kill me
the stock carbs on these are designed to work with hella restricted air filter tract, then on the later models some of them have various emissions type bullshit that makes it even worse. they were lean out of the gate and the emulsion tubes have super small holes that corrode up over time.
the china clone carbs are just more robust, the chinese people making these things uber cheap know how to modify them so they are very robust, they kinda just 'always work'. probably don't run as well at all throttle positions or get as good of gas mileage, but they just seem to be healthier.
I installed one that was take-off from a xr70 clone kiddy dirtbike that had been upgraded and it ran great right out of the box. I feel like you have better chances with one that was originally sold attached to a bike because the manufacturer had a vested interest in making the thing run so they could sell it
