1956 mobylette. Went for $1300 on last nights episode of AP. Around 500 original miles.

From the 50s assume it's a usa bike in that shape. Thats a really fair price. I could see that going for 2k or more just because of the age of the bike and shape.
Looks like its was washed, waxed and detailed 20 minutes prior to the shows taping. New looking front tire too.

A can of WD40 does wonders , doesn't it ? LOL
Very cool, look at the little bitty shocks on the rear? Nice machine, would say worth that money, especially if it runs.
Wow that is a pretty bike. I like the little tool kit under the seat too.
Interesting note, the grease fitting on the clutch shaft is very different than mine, I wonder if it is supposed to look like that or they had a more traditional fitting back then?

Looks like a plunger suspension . ;)
AV75 Monoluxe single speed rated to 26km/h (20mph) with composite clutch dimoby. That one on the program is the single speed...
AV78 Superluxe variated originally rated to 33km/h (25mph) with the 6 balls composite clutch and detente which would 'click' through 3 speeds settings.
Made those plunger frame models 1956-59 only, all had the homologation dated plates on them with 27MAR1956 as the acceptance date. Might not be a 1956 but they never called for verification of their 'facts'... lol

Exactly....Karl here in Charlotte has a 59 with the original leg shields he is about to restore. Super cool bikes.
If that has only 500 miles on it then I’m only 20 years old. Look closely at the motor.

With a terrible seat like that, 500 miles could take eons (one mile or less per trip). LOL!
Probably coulda got more if it didn't have a broken pedal.
