LGBT Moped peeps.

Who here is part of the cool kids club.

I really like how in person the moped army is fairly kind and accepting. I've met some great people in my awkward past. As long as you like mopeds you should be welcome.

Is anyone here LGBT? Old or Young you're equal in my eyes.

If you're from Montana I'd love to get in touch.

Re: LGBT Moped peeps.

Take this OT.

a moped rider looking for other moped riders? ok bud

ANYHOW your always welcome in the great state of Ohio with the Zeros!

Re: LGBT Moped peeps.

Echoing Andy, stop by Ohio sometime! Columbus has got some LGBT riders and a pretty healthily-sized LGBT community in the city

Re: LGBT Moped peeps.

this thread need to be merged with the southern California thread. sexual orientation has nothing to do with riding. I am a member of the cruisers, I am not gay, they are accepting and so am I.

Re: LGBT Moped peeps.

My moped identifies as a dirtbike.

I thought it was more a lifestyle question, not really a moped question. Ya know like “any Star Trek fans that ride mopeds?” I thought it would get a better response in OT. But whatev- I don’t care either way. No need ta get testy

This isn't OT, this is directly moped related.

But welcome to the OP. Can't say I have ever met a moped person from Montana, but the midwest is home to alot of folks here.

Finding an accepting community that you can be comfortable in while taking part in a hobby is very important.

There is a really great community of LGBTQ riders here in NYC, should you ever find your way out here.

@toledoriot

Thanks Andy, Thanks everyone who's been accepting and doesn't get pissed off at the word pronoun or LGBT.(edited)

I've found a possible group in montana soon. But I was specifically made this thread so people could fly their pride and tell me about themselves. But the first comment was clearly telling me that I am "THE OTHER" and don't belong here.

What about the Gaskkettes the all women group.

Does that not apply to mopeds?

If a person wants to be around people they feel comfortable with it doesn't matter.

Telling me I can't make this thread is telling me I am an OTHER. That I should be pushed under a rug. I won't have that at all.

If you're straight you need not post in this thread.

Now it needs to be in OT .

Hmm can you read? The topic is LGBT riders.

Straight, isn't part of LGBT.

Let me try again post-coffee. Welcome to the group. I apologize for offending you, but i do see how I could have. It was not my intent. I honestly thought your post would get shit on less in OT, but whatever. I don’t personally care where it’s posted either way. And I don’t consider you, or anybody as “THE OTHER”. Good day. Again, I’m sorry for the offense.

Thanks Seth. I consider OT to be a far more toxic board.

Mopeds are the smallest minority in the motorbike world in the usa, so if we exclude people we will never continue to grow.

Re: LGBT Moped peeps.

Is this discrimination ?

Who cares what kind of sex you like ?

A moped can't tell the difference between male or female , straight or bent and I doubt it cares .

I could care less and most likely almost everyone else here feels the same .

Ok Boomer

If you are saying "why does gender/sex matter" you clearly are missing the point.

It shouldn't and doesn't , to me .

Re: LGBT Moped peeps.

I've known Lina for several years, when he lived in Northeast Ohio. I drove us to Moppit in '18. I'm glad she is looking for other riders, but I'm not sure where all this animosity is coming from. I think everyone involved in this thread has been welcoming and accepting. Lina seems to be the one with the chip on the shoulder.

Spring starts in 5 & 1/2 weeks, unless the Prairie dog didn't see it's shadow .

Get your Pinto and Targa ready so you have a bike to ride. Not much sense worrying about who you ride with if you don't have a bike to ride.

Re: LGBT Moped peeps.

This is a very loving community.

Hey Trent How are you doing. Some of the comments made here are rude and discouraging due to their contextual meanings.

I have seen remarks like this before, I'm not mad at you. But the people who are complaining I even made this thread. If you're only comment is a "attack helicopter" Joke you're clearly showing your true colors. Also an old man telling me he's on a moral high horse about how his cisgender brain sees gender and sex is not what I intended.

If anyone else here wants to show their bike off and pride I'd love to learn about my fellow queer/LGBT riders. Moppitt in person was welcoming. I met two wonderful LGBT people at Moppitt.

I am certainly excited for Spring! There's a group of welcoming riders in billlings montana who I'm hoping to join soon. With my best friend Sam. She's looking forward to it as well.

Re: LGBT Moped peeps.

Are you looking for only LGBT people to ride with so you can criticize "straight" people together as a group?

Because with all your comments, that's how it appears.

You reject everyone who says they don't care what your sexual orientation is, which is discrimination on your part.

MA isn't a dating app. If you're looking to start a LGBT moped gang, knock yourself out. But if you're just here to insult people to further your hatred, go back to Instagram.

Cool transphobic joke. Sorry I make you feel uncomfortable about your sexuality.

Re: LGBT Moped peeps.

This is a (mostly) unmoderated and completely free-of-charge forum page, so just like on a random city street you'll encounter your fair share of loudly ignorant opinions and aggrieved false equivalency.

Unfortunately, aside from the slightly more close-knit and accountable members' forums, the main benefit of MA is technical help and knowledge, often buried under layers of the same type of bullshit you already see accreting in this thread.

Hopefully you get a few thoughtful responses from people you can link up with, but my advice, offered in good faith, is to just ignore the anonymous idiots in this forum and use local or moped model-specific Facebook groups to seek out better interactions.

I wish it were different!

Ok Boomer.

Did you even read my first post.

I didn't make this thread to get the input of how straight people view how they're some how better for not seeing sex and gender. I made it so other LGBT people or Allies could post. But clearly as the previous comments have shown a majority of the people here are too old or too bigoted to allow minorities in their community without making derogatory comments.

I'm not just looking for a LGBT moped gang I merely want to know other riders who are LGBT.

Would you complain if a Black person made a thread about how they wanted to get to know other riders of color. There are MANY biker gangs who are specifically People of color.

There are several people specifically stating and insinuating things that discriminate against me as a minority.
