Disc brakes?

Hey guys happy friday. I'm in the process of rebuilding my puch maxi. And since I got the intire thing for free, I'm thinking why not make it bad ass? So iv decided to go with a new 70cc kit on it, probley some new shocks, bearings hear and there, that roller bearing for the crank shaft that I heard about, other crap, and I know its probably over kill, but I was thinking how sick disc brakes would be on it. I'm thinking about taking off the spokes, getting rid of the drum, and buying a disc kit. I havent done to much searching on the form about it, but basically I wanna know if theres any one that done this before? Also any other things than a bigger carb, 70cc head, exhaust, upgraded crank, with that better roller/ ball bearing that I should consider doing? I want her pimped, to the MAXI.

Do this.

Re: Disc brakes?

Treat land actually sells a disc brake setup for puch 5 star wheels. Do yourself a favor and do indeed search the forums the search function is very good and there are a ton of good threads. I recently did a rear disc swap using a BMW K100 rear wheel. There is a write up in the performance section. It may be buried but that good old search will guide the way. Also see if the wiki has anything! HOWEVER most will go for a front as it is much easier. My bike is a chopper so I ditched my front and beefed up the rear for the sake of looks.
