I have this OLD bicycle engine.
I actually got it to run.
Can anyone help me figure out what it is? (edited)
Petter AC1?
Paging Dave seley
I love it. Search clip-on motors, as that's what English called them.
Daves prolly got one still in the plastic
Hmm , According to that AC1m # , you seem to have an extremely rare Yamaha AC1M 6 string guitar . LOL
Neat little motor though . ;)
It's a Derny Cyclomoteur, Zurcher motor. 98cc. (edited)
I have a 30's skiptooth bike that fit nicely with that engine.
He is not just dirty, he is spot on. Zurcher 100 (98cc) Circa 1955 based on the carb. (Some are even older than that with the same design, but they updated the carbs as they got better)
Funny, the air cleaner on that Zurcher is the same metal unicorn one that was used on Minarelli P4 powered Italian bikes of the late 60's like Broncco, Aermachhi Harley Shorster, etc, those collectors pay big for it because they screw on with one screw in the middle, and are almost always lost as they vibrate off
Show me.. I need to find a bike fitting this engine..
WOW,,,GREAT info. But web search for Zercher finds not much??
Zurcher
Yeah, you are not going to find a surviving bike that that motor will bolt onto.
You probably can't find the info unless you're prepared to do some translating/interpreting.
It's cool enough to build a bike around.

I have a 63 Testi Weekend Cross with a P4 and that filter. Plan on building a race P6 when I can find one. Wanna buy my filter?
Oh fun! A del SHB carb! The reason I stopped calling the SHA a “shah” and now call it an S-H-A. Haha ya just can’t go around saying “shhb”
I am working getting the engine going..
I need to know How to set the static timing and the points gap..
Can anyone suggest a starting point..???
10 degrees before TDC and .0015 gap..???

I just bought a P6 and it's in the mail right now, I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a frame for it . . . . I also wanna build a GP racer. I am probably gonna have to build one from scratch! lol
Why does the exhaust have 2 ports?
