Jawa! The Incredible Two Speed Transplant

OK, so I acquired this beat up two speed missing the accelerating clutch and used my single speed clutch. Much better take off! Still might have to reline the second gear clutch as it fails to kickstart and is a bit slow to engage. Dammit! I left my brake shoe lining in Pittsburgh. Fun to push-start!

Re: Jawa! The Incredible Two Speed Transplant

Nice bike! Good to know about the clutches; I have a minty 210 2-speed and several one speeds laying around, might have to try to swap the clutches and see how much better it is for myself

Re: Jawa! The Incredible Two Speed Transplant

wait, so you're saying you just slammed a 207 single clutch in place of the 1st gear clutch and it just works? neat! I'd've never known

No, sorry it was a 210 single speed. I'll have to check that out though.

The clutch was as you see it on the engine below. Don't know what happened to the clutch but it's missing one of the starting clutch pivot points and the accelerating clutch assembly.

Re: Jawa! The Incredible Two Speed Transplant

oh yeah, wild. maybe arm caught and just tore off the pivot pin

Re: Jawa! The Incredible Two Speed Transplant

I love how everything Jawa looks so Soviet industrial. Look at the clutch shoes.

Re: Jawa! The Incredible Two Speed Transplant

Pounding this down Manasotta Beach road. GPS is only 36MPH. Gotta try that smaller rear sprocket next.

Re: Jawa! The Incredible Two Speed Transplant

That bike fucks.

Re: Jawa! The Incredible Two Speed Transplant

Ok, maybe I'm expecting too much. Running 14 front 47 rear sprockets, 15MM Runtong 62 jet and Puch intake. I touched 41 on GPS but it's more consistent at 36-37. Jamaracol from a Hobbit grafted to the stock manifold for exhaust. 40MPH is easy Jawa experts, school me.
