I’m having trouble getting this moped running, need help!

I just installed a deltorro 15.15 sha carburetor , used a 58 jet .

Have good spark , getting fuel,

Never owned a motobecane before, don’t know what that thing on top of the head is , it goes to the engine stop run switch.

Any ideas? Also where can I pick up a user friendly manual

You need a bit bigger like 60 jet for the bike, but it should start like that for now. Also best practice is to add a oring between intake and carb, 11/16 X 13/16 X 1/16 oring works.

Did you get a shorty 15mm intake and derestrict it?

Was it running when you go it? May have a vacuum leak, should give it a leakdown test to make sure.

That cable to the top is the decompressor cable. To start a cold bike you need to apply choke and decomp, pedal over and release the decomp once the engine is turning, it should catch and run. Unlil ke a 4 stroke you do not need the choke on for long.

I did get the 15 m shortly intake, I don’t know what derestrict it is .

I’ll order the right jet . Thanks

Where the intake transitions inside from round to rectangle it necks down. Should remain at 15mm straight through so you can use a dremel to open it up to 15mm. If you have no 15mm drill you can measure your 1/4 drive sockets for the one that is 15mm-ishand use that as a gauge as you dermel. If you have access to a lot of drill bits you could use a 37/64" (slight undersize) or 19/32" (sight oversize).
