I don't want to bend it or do it wrong..
It's held on with friction methinks, but it's been like a decade sooooo....
Think I got mine off with a flathead gently wobblin. Think it had a notch for the screwdriver to grip on get wigglin.couple tappy taps with a rubber mallet helped too.
Just looked. Yup notch directly on the top. Slide in a flathead n lever and wiggle.
get a paint stick, and tap from far side.
spray with aerokroil then watch it fall off or heated slightly pop off with screwdriver..
i usually just use a punch, improvised or otherwise, and a hammer, improvised or otherwise, and pop that sucker off
Sometimes they have the death grip happening and the little slot just wants to bend up and get ugly.
#72 hoseclamp on the cover and tight that firmly, you can give the clamps nut a goodly tap with a tool to convince it to come off, if it cocks sideways a little loosen and rotate the clamp and give it a convincing tap from a different position.
Nice advice. I'm in the screwdriver twist but when that fails smack it with a stick from the other side camp. But rebels idea is much more correct or at least less likely to stir trouble
