Just saw an a3 bullet in the new Ford v Ferrari movie. It's supposed to be set in 1964, but i didn't think they were coming in that early? Someone knows better than me tho.

Re: When did they start importing Tomos?

Mid to late 70s I believe.

Shulda used a Sears Puch if they were trying to be accurate

Re: When did they start importing Tomos?

I’ve seen pictures of Paul Newman riding Solex at races in the 60’s.

That's not a tomos...

Re: When did they start importing Tomos?

Tomos created in the a3 in 1973 and were first imported into the us in 1976.

They may have imported their puch clones, but I have no idea.

The first Tomos automatic mopeds were late 60's and utilized a Laura M48 motor. We never got them.

I can't recall from the Tomos Museum, but I wanna say that the first Tomos motor was designed in 72

I guess i could have gotten it wrong, too. It was kind of out of focus on the background of the shot. Def had that 70s stamped-steel vibe and the classic tomos bullet shape. Even had a slanted cylinder.

Re: When did they start importing Tomos?

I thought it looked more like a motobecane with a curvier tank, not the flatter puch/tomos

Re: When did they start importing Tomos?
