CDI’s and plug wires----RFI?

Just wondering if anyone has had RFI problems running solid core wires and a CDI? I know older cars get bad issues with both so should I run a shielded wire or maybe a MSD shielded wire?

Thanks for any and all help.

Re: CDI’s and plug wires----RFI?

If you're running a resistor plug or cap , the wire can be solid core .

There only has to be one 'form' of resistance in line to quell RFI , for most electronics .

That's the way it always been . I would think it the same for any CDI .

Re: CDI’s and plug wires----RFI?

That's what I was thinking, The CDI will be mounted a foot or so back from the HT so it shouldn't have a issue I think.

If there is a problem , a foot of wire shouldn't break the bank and hopefully not your ignition . ;)
