Which Puch kits work well with stock pipe

Angry Hipster /

Obviously stock, but they seem difficult to find in good shape. Is there an aftermarket option available that I'm missing? Thanks.

The re-popped alu Metrakit works great with a stock pipe.

I have some zeta made stock replicas if that's really all you're going after.

The small Airsal isnt bad either.

With a stock pipe performance will always be pretty bad, so i'd say any 50cc would work just about as well.

Get a reed kit and run your stock pipe for a nice hp increase that won't make the power delivery too peaky. The idea that you'll "blow up" a cylinder with a small pipe is kind of an urban legend. It just spreads out the power and lowers the peaks.

I’m in total agreement because inside a stock maxi pipe is this thing not a chamber

When this is needed for proper compression psi boost,

Thanks guys it's good to know I have options. I tried a hi torque with mesh air filter and upjetted and stock pipe. It moved me along great up to about 25mph or so and that's really all I want just as long as it can get me up to speed and pull me up a hill.

Even though i still have to restrict my mopeds to about 37mph i still wont use an exhaust as shitty as the stock one.

Most bicycles can do 25mph,

If you can’t get around 35 mph with good takeoff out of a stock puch cylinder and exhaust with just filter, tuning/jetting changes you’re doing something wrong.

This pinto I had a put a high torque number 22 top end on it, performance filter and upjetted the carburetor, I used the stock exhaust too. the stock exhaust has slightly longer header than a maxi but basically is the same as one, hit 35 mph easy,
