How wide should the needle bearing be on piston side

I have a crappy aftermarket crank that came with a needle bearing at piston side that is like 15mm wide but the piston is like 22 or something. I know the bearings supposed to have play but wouldn't be better it had a wider bearing. What's the correct width ?

Measure it then depending on what model engine it should say what the stock needle bearing size should be
