Yeah, I know. It's a giant waste of time but it should look good after some matte black paint.
I really like it.
FRANK THE TANK, FRANK THE TANK
No more a waste of time than watching TV, looks good!
Would look good with some shag carpet on it
Oh no! It has to be indoor outdoor carpeting. Green?
Stuffed Kermit the frog that Chinese racoondog fur wards off squirrels...
Put a 40 mph vdo speedo in dash
Disco lights...
Nice!
For this kind of project you can hardly do better than used road-sign stock.
Some scrap yards will resell it and some won't... technically they're not supposed to resell stop, yield, no parking, caution, etc etc, but the one nearby knows me and lets it pass. By the pound you can't get better grade lightweight and strong aluminum alloy than this stuff so cheaply, and it's easily worked. (edited)
Next to enameled porcelainized washing machine panels...
It looks nice but what would you put it on? It looks more like it belongs on a Harley than a moped.
You just need some imagination pop out that Speedo and pop in a really cool projector lamp you got yourself a front Shield
This was what the original looks like. I wanted to make a smaller one but thought I'd try to replicate the original first.

Paint today.
Im into it, as long as it goes on a Jawa
Seriously though. I thought at first this was one you had removed the rubber cover from. Nice work cutting that out. Powdercoat it flat black. The last thing you want is anything glossy or reflective, cause thats gonna be a big ol mirror.
Wrap it in leather and do a seat cover to match. (edited)

Jawa already has their stock Speedo mounts. The Florida Sport is getting a few upgrades this January. Stay tuned...
Definitely much better than the rag next to it . ;)
I still don't know if I like it. I'll let it cure a bit, reattach and think about it. I "could" buy the Limited dash bits. Hmmm.
I'm pretty sure someone would buy that from you if you decided you didnt like it. Create a custom thats based on what you think it should look like.

Plenty of room for a boost or nitrous switch ;)
evil, I'll settle for a temp gauge. Shortened and routed the throttle and moved the clutch cable too. Clutch cable will need to be replaced soon. It's a bit frayed and makes fitting difficult. Now to try to squeak a bit more stock performance out of it. Currently Estoril, 12mm Bing clone, mesh filter 2nd gear flip with pucks and 19/37 sprockets. Yes, Ken, I was cautious and carefully torqued and added a few thousandths shims and a new gasket. This thing is tight. This is the one I fetched from Meadville PA and the first speed gear rollers were not under the springs. So of course, the trans was misbehaving. Holding back on kitting. For now. Suns out, time for a test blast!
