Is the arrow supposed to point downwards? I've heard about arrows on the piston pointing down, but I've never heard of a head having an arrow. Anyone know the reason for the arrow?
Thanks.

Nice, you found an antique arrow head.
Seems obvious to me .
From the Puch Symbol in an upright position , which way is the arrow pointing ?
Just like every other arrow I've seen in a combustion chamber , it points to the exhaust .
This is quite humbling. That makes total sense.
Thanks!
That circle also always is on the bottom, i believe its a remnant from decomps on old puchs.

Always good to be a bit humble . ;)
At the same time , be happy that you learned something new , today . :D
To help cement the arrow thing for those that might not comprehend :
Arrows usually point in the direction of 'progression' or travel or flow .
In an internal combustion motor the usual 'flow' is from the carburetor , an exciting visit in the combustion chamber and then out the exhaust .
