Re: Perfect moped drone combo

I thought about doing this. Act like the drone is a robot that follows you every where you go.

Aku aku from Crash bandicoot

Re: Perfect moped drone combo

Mavic mini has a 30 minute flight time and the Spark has half that. Spark requires FAA registration, but the Mavic mini is light enough to avoid that. Both are great fliers.

Cost is comparable. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ personally I'd get the Mavic Mini. In fact, I plan to.

Re: Perfect moped drone combo

Is that registration a requirement at purchase?

Just wondering how the FAA would "pull you over" so to speak or even know that you're cruising around with a drone flying maybe 10ft in the air?

Yea don’t forget to register your drone after you get your passport to travel to another US state.

Fucking pathetic sorry but we as a country are weak like a baby left to fend for it self

I really like the mini and I think I'm going to order that one i dont think i can brave the dreaded BLACK FRIDAY sales line after binge eating

Re: Perfect moped drone combo

The reason behind it has nothing to do with being weak or the nanny state or whatever broad generalizations you wanna make about the country

I just dont understand how its enforceable unless a violation occurs

Re: Perfect moped drone combo

If a moped drone combo is the only thing you want then you don't need a dji. I have a hubsan drone with follow me mode. I control it with my cell phone and the drone follows my cellphone on demand.

How many times , on a ten mile ride , do you have to stop and pick up the drone for a recharge ?

How's that work in tunnels and around powerlines?

Re: Perfect moped drone combo

Will it deliver Chinese buffet?

Re: Perfect moped drone combo

I didn't test it much. So I have no idea.

Re: Perfect moped drone combo

No, you don't have to register at time of purchase. You register online at the faadronezone after you have it.

Also, no, it is not enforceable unless something goes wrong. The only way they'll find out is if you interfere with aircraft in some way.

Re: Perfect moped drone combo

What ever happened to Amazon and those drones that were supposed to make local deliveries I everybodys house? Wait til the skies get cluttered with them and they start running into each other.

I have several and most are registered, the ones that meet the requirement. My Hubsan in follow me mode has obstacle avoidance and seem to work pretty well.

Please post up a video of it doing such.

Re: Perfect moped drone combo

Thanks for that Jack. I wasn't specific enough. I was referring to the drones autonomously avoiding obstacles at 30 mph part.
