One Rebuilt Engine!

Here's my first complete engine rebuild.

Vespa 3 coil Case:

- mazzi anticipato shaft

- polini 64cc racing cylinder and head with the special boost ports, and case matched

- rewired ignition coils

- made intake out to 13mm

- new condenser and points

- new bearings, seals, and bolts

- lotsa love, money, and frustration exerted

Gonna slap it into my grande super deluxe:)

Everything's clean now, but it wont be long before everything is all grimy, greasy and dirty again.

Do a little research to find what a power washer is and how to use one . ;)

Re: One Rebuilt Engine!

Feels good doesn’t it

Not sure if you're referring to the 2 stroke stain on the patio or the comment on the dirty engine case.

Ha . The washer comes in handy for a lot of things .

But , I was talking about keeping your ride clean . They just seem to last a lot longer that way .

Re: One Rebuilt Engine!

The engine turned out awesome! I'm currently in the middle of a Vespa Grande rebuild. How hard was rebuilding the engine?

Re: One Rebuilt Engine!

Thats a solid setup! With some porting and a calibratta and kinetic cdi, i hit 58 on basically the same setup

Re: One Rebuilt Engine!

Hell yeah, hope to see you around town on that beast soon

Paul,

vespa was pretty straight forward, I followed a couple videos on utube by Carsten Lorenzen.

I'd say it's simpler than say an e50 or tomos because there's no gears to fuck with.

Also if you're gonna take the case apart it's smart to widen the intake if you're looking to get more power.
