I think worrying about faculty to student ratio is looking at the wrong metric. In general chemistry classes of course at OSU you're gonna have terrible ratios but once you get into your major your classes will likely have 20-30 students at most in them.
Research at OSU is so easy to get into, I accidentally stumbled into a research position last May when I didn't wind up finding an internship.
I really enjoy OSU. I know a lot of people in my major even though it's sort of big, I have good relationships with my professors, and I think there's more opportunity here due to its size and increasing prestige. But if you visited and didn't like it that's alright, it's just not for you
