Roffman - consider yourself blessed. I met my future wife in high school back in 1981. We married in 87. We have 7 kids, 5 girls and 2 boys ranging in age from 17 to 27. She didn't like the moped back then and still doesn't like them now. She's more of a "buy new" person rather than "fix it up", so I guess she doesn't understand how my brain works with regard to mopeds.
Nobody in the family but me shows any interest in mopeds or motorcycles, and the youngest three don't even have their drivers license! I've got over a half dozen roadworthy mopeds and I still have to drive my kids 3 miles to school or 2 miles to work. That distance screams for a moped!
I'd give anything to go out on a family ride.
Definitely count yourself blessed that your wife supports, enjoys, and participates in your hobby.
You are a lucky dude. (edited)
