Hello everyone. I owned a ssr Lazer 5 moped. I work at Beverly hills where parking is a pain in the butt. Parking meters are for 2 hours max and to parked in the streets you need a permit to parked more than an hour I think. Can I park my moped on a bike rack inside the parking structure? Where I work. There's a bike rack also in front of where I work outside. Is it safe?

After briefly looking at California's moped laws you should be good as long as whatever you park there has pedals. I'm not a lawyer though.
I had a parking ticket for parking at a rack thrown out here in Columbus once I proved that my moped had pedals
Re: Parking a moped laws in California
I need to buy the pedals first but so far it's looking good. Thanks. I hate using the bus . (edited)
Re: Parking a moped laws in California
If it’s able to be pedaled like a bicycle you can park it on a bike rack.
Re: Parking a moped laws in California
Private bike rack on private property - check with the mgmt.
Public bike rack on sidewalk - up to the meter maids' attitude toward scooters parked on sidewalks.
Re: Parking a moped laws in California
Yeah, the big point is "functioning" pedals. I have an Urban and sometimes I'll risk the ticket if I can't find anything else to lock it to. I have fake pedals on one of mine, but it wouldn't hold up if they tagged me. I hope they'll just pass the glance test.
Re: Parking a moped laws in California
If I see that Captain noped parked anywhere in town I'm gonna call the cops.
Re: Parking a moped laws in California
Take your plate off they can't write you up without a reg number.
Re: Parking a moped laws in California
^ But could they impound it for not being registered?
Re: Parking a moped laws in California
One of the squids got a ticket on a Tomos without a plate, they wrote the vin down. Haha
Re: Parking a moped laws in California
even if they write you 123014 tickets it doesnt matter. they cant suspend registration that is for life.
Laws in California
If you have a water bottle on a bike in California and leave the top off, if it rains will you get fined for gathering rain water?
Re: Parking a moped laws in California
reducing the volume and velocity of urban runoff improves the water quality in streams, lakes, and estuaries
