The engines in the Japanese market Gyros are different and way better than what that came in the Gyro models that came to the US.
The US market Gyro S (called the Road Fox in Japan) has a two speed automatic transmission driving only one of the rear wheels. The X, UP, and Canopy are all variated with a differential and both rear wheels are driven. The X even has a limited slip differential!
