Who's DRUNK??

drunk or crack. I make my own baja boxes and do my own for less than 10$. 6v or 12v does not matter because I can either make either type. so can you. honestly I usually convert to 12v because its usually a simple rewire at the stator. then I can use a modern flasher and auto led's.

anyone buying crap like this is smoking crack. I am not a commie. the seller is not at fault.

you do not need to study ee. anyone can order tiny bulbs at any voltage. 6v flashlight bulbs use little current and can be fit in any housing. low current turn signals won't work with out a low current flasher. the hyperflash .99 cent 2 wire flasher costs 1$ on ebay for 12v. even the most electrically challenged can run this 6v custom part. unlike leds it will work fine ac or dc. 6v ac uses a 2 wire Yamaha blaster 6v ac regulator.

this is not a rant. hopefully someone here reads this and saves some $. release your inner mechanic by going out of manual. order parts by spec and lowest cost. do not listen to websites that pretend to help but only want to sell you over priced rick sprack Oregon.

I had to add signals to most of my bikes do to way increased distracted drivers/traffic that no one knows including the police what a hand signal is anymore,

Cateye signals with 8w bulbs are good enough to be seen, I especially like the black box ones that beep when turned on and I like ones with rectangle lenses the best,

They are very easy to wire on a puch 6 wire system one wire to yellow wire under light switch, all the signal lights ground to frame, I like to chargeable type, they make the battery box type that take D batteries but they’re not so bright and if you leave them on the batteries go dead quick,

I’ve normally got real nice shape ones almost nos for about $40-50 shipped and just needed to replace the cells, I don’t need more now but I would have probably paid $80 shipped for clean nos set,

But 190$ No way

Re: 190$ For Cateye's... Who's Drunk??

Hand signals don’t cost you anything. They’ve been working for me for the last 40+ years.

Re: 190$ For Cateye's... Who's Drunk??

^ True, but very few know what they are anymore, half the time when signaling a right turn people in other cars "wave" back at me....lol, I had cat-eyes back when, and if I rode more today would have them again, my Qt has factory signals...a huge plus in my book.

5x the traffic out here from just 10 years ago and many are new to this country, young inexperienced and elderly drivers, I use electric and hand signals at the same time and some still don’t know,

Got 5 roundabouts out here now and Wow! Drivers don’t know what to do ,

Some go wrong direction, some come to complete stop with no one coming, stop right in the middle of them, go over the middle, beep at you when you merge with 2 car lengths ahead of them, a accident or two every week at one of them,

Seems No one knows that all your suppose to to is merge in when you have a spot big enough to do so/to fit in,

Re: 190$ For Cateye's... Who's Drunk??

I hate round-about's with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns! They DO really help with traffic flow, but you are right, no one knows what to do in them. I will drive miles out of my way to avoid one.

Do you mean by White Hot intensity of 1000 suns?

Re: 190$ For Cateye's... Who's Drunk??

roffman you are dead wrong. what were you thinking.

3w. $2.80 in bulbs. hose clamps and plumbers epoxy were extra. led flasher unit was $1. shipping included for both. pic at idle, this bike has no battery.

Re: 190$ For Cateye's... Who's Drunk??

"Intensely" dislike.

Not a puch moped and nothin like I run with signals far apart from each other and brake light I’d be a rear ended in a second that setup

then go with any of the other integrated turn signal tail lights on the net in any style you want. all are 10 times cheaper than cats eye.

go back and read my previous post. those led's can be put inside any housing to give any style look. ll57 red and 1156 yellow is plug and play for most.

this style is café lane splitter. put the turn signals inside to make this bike as narrow as possible for city traffic. this is a good thing for riding in traffic where I live.

Re: 190$ For Cateye's... Who's Drunk??

Ha, I was answering Ken's question, I actually like your bike. I would have kept the fender and stock taillight though, just added the directional signals. (edited)

Re: 190$ For Cateye's... Who's Drunk??

roffman, these chepo cob leds turn signal parts are universal 12v. who cares if its not puch. they work on any bike or moped.

do you like this one better.

I would have kept the fender too, the guy I bought this bike from raped it with a hacksaw. he also ground off all the seat mounts. had no choice and just went with it.
