Proven fact!

A moped that does 40mph with 140lb rider will do the same with 180lb rider full tuck flat rd.

Re: Proven fact!

A fact is by definition proven.

What if the 180lbs rider has a 40 pound ass?

Not true neccessarily. A larger rider has a larger silhouette and therefore wind resistance. Power requirements for a given speed go up with an increase in weight as well.

So many variables.

This thread is silly. (edited)

Hell no!

Did you ever hear of power to weight ratio ?

I'm 200 lb xl-xll on some shirts/suit coats with 49 inch wide chest which acts like a large parachute to my son who is 140 something pounds small-medium 30s inch size chest,

The same two bikes no matter which one I ride or he rides he beats me every time.

Ya pipe is limiting factor in top speed but so his power to weight ratio in one resistance.

So you know nothing about nothing !

So there goes your Factoid!

Please don't post no more !

WTF does it matter what size suit coat you wear.

Wind resistance AKA aerodynamics.

Wind resistance silly !

Even with for cold-weather gear on like here, near Christmas time my son is a twig to me, I couldn’t get his loose fitting medium jacket on if my life depended on it,

I wear XL or X2,

Next time you go for a ride go for a ride with just a T-shirt on (even though I don’t recommend that) then go for a ride with a big puffy jacket with four layers of shirts underneath it on to increase your width 12inches or more and see which ride to go faster on!

I guess you and the original OP of this (non-scientific just his opinion) thread never heard of streamlining!

Re: Proven fact!

Its true i seen it done but i don't want to keep on about it

Re: Proven fact!

Re: Proven fact!

For God's sake, don't go riding around naked. Nobody wants to see that.

Unless you're a hot chick...

In 1977 -1978 I rode a ported Honda MT 125 with just just shorts and flip-flops for almost a season but not now ha ha!

Not to Mention jumping R R tracks at 55 mph!

Boy was I was a smart ass/knucklehead back then!

If I find a picture from the era I’ll post it ha ha !

I hear that, in a dissident galaxy far far away I was ten feet tall and indestructible. Now I hurt most of the time from all those things I did when I was young. The joys of getting old.

Re: Proven fact!

The measure of proof is evidence.

Now here is a proven fact, if you ever get in an accident make sure someone locks your moped to a pole instead of getting towed it's a lot cheaper...
